Hi

I'm a newbie to QS and have a database already. My question is, for continuity sake, how reliable is the data the downloader uses for say...splits? I say "continuity" because adding my data would not be consistent across the time series.
It would be simpler to just use yours.

Is it possible to be able to export the splits data (as one field to check) so that I may ingest it into my DB and perform a gap analysis to warrant switching from what I do to your app.
I would certainly like to as you seem to have covered a lot of bases instead of my "building from scratch" process.

Having performed an analysis will go far to make me feel confident that I wont have to worry as much about "missing applied spits" and
needless time omitting stocks in my screens that hit due to split or other data issues.

Thanks! By the way. Great product. I'm really hoping this works for me.

Hi Tom,

The default downloader gets data from Yahoo. We have several other downloaders that get data from other locations.

Splits are already reflected in prices. However, we can create for you a download item that gets splits data from Yahoo.

You can also use this item to gets splits data: Splits Calendar - Historical data for U.S. Stocks (It was shared by one of our users).
I am not sure where the data comes from, but in the download manager, you can select this item then click on "Update" to debug it.

Let me know if you have any further questions
